Regional & Urban Development Strategy (RUDS): Synergy among Regional/City Government, Business, Higher Learning Institution, and Community in Developing Competitive Regional/Urban Economy
A comprehensive capacity building program. Starting on November 2018, our REDS Program will be named RUDS to integrate urban development into the old REDS Program. Another change is starting from November 2018, INADATA Consulting, LLC., will be partnering with the Ministry of Home Affairs of Republic of Indonesia to run the RUDS Program.
The RUDS Program is a two-week executive training program on “Regional and Urban Development Strategy: A Synergy among Regional/City Government, Business, Higher Learning Institution, and Community in Developing Competitive Regional and Urban Economy." The Program combines classroom discussions with city leaders, academician and practitioners at top universities in the U.S. with visits to strategic sites such as industry, business, tourism, and community centers in the U.S. The participants will also visit and have meetings with various relevant business, agriculture, and government communities in various venues including Silicon Valley and Central Valley.
The RUDS Program comprises of two components: Program in the U.S., and the Post-Program in Indonesia.
RUDS II
RUDS Wave #2 was held from July 6 to 14. University of California Irvine hosted the classroom discussion component of the Program.
RUDS III
RUDS Wave #3 was held from November 15 to 24, 2019. University of California Irvine hosted the classroom discussion component of the Program.
RUDS I
RUDS Wave #1 was held from March 1 to 10, 2019 with classroom discussion was hosted by University of California Irvine.
Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS)
This is a ten-day executive workshop on strategic economic development planning, using the experiences of United States’ local and city governments as a benchmark. The program is intended for local and regional leaders of developing countries in general and Indonesia in particular. It combines classroom experience at major US universities, taught by professionals, government officials, and academicians, with visits to various industrial, agriculture, government, business, and community development sites. Planned multiple times a year with each wave has its own specific focus, the core theme of the program is how to develop synergistic partnership among local/regional governments, business institutions, and higher education in advancing local and regional economic development.
REDS III
REDS III was run from November 11 to 21, 2017 attended by 15 local government leaders from Indonesia. The classroom portion of the program was held at University of California Irvine (UCI). Check out the program here.
REDS II
REDS II was held from September 16 to 26, 2017 with 15 local government leaders from Indonesia as participants. The classroom program was host by University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). Check out the program here.
REDS I
REDS I was run from November 12 to 22, 2016 with 22 local government leaders from Indonesia as participants. The classroom portion of the program was held at University of California Irvine (UCI). Check out the program here.
Strategic Planning Into Action (SPIA)
Strategic Planning Into Action (SPIA) is a two to four day post REDS workshop. It is intended to assist regional and local government leaders of Indonesia, both who have and not yet participated in the REDS Program, in transforming strategic development plans learned from REDS Program into action plans. Conducted in different cities in Indonesia, the SPIA program is taught by professionals, government officials, and academicians, both from the US and Indonesia. INADATA Consulting, LLC. runs this program in collaboration with Indonesian universities.
SPIA II
SPIA II was held on February 6-7, 2020 in Sidoarjo, East Java Province of Indonesia. The program's focus was on the formulation of action plans on in promoting local business and community development.
SPIA I
SPIA I was run from March 28 to April 1, 2017 through a collaboration of INADATA Consulting, LLC. with Center for Regional System Analysis, Planning and Development of Bogor Agriculture Institute. The program, attended by 30 participants, was held at Bogor Agriculture University, Indonesia.
